12 miles at 9:00 pace
First couple of miles took me a little to warm up. Once I got going I kicked into my normal pace around a 9:00 mile. The 12 miles went pretty easily and seemed short once you have done 16 to 18 and 21 miles the last number of weekends. Happy to be done though so I can lay around and watch football this afternoon. Going to chug water/gatorade today plus airborne and vitamins to try and kick this cold out.
Sniff, Sniff
So now I have a cold. Not a big one but one that makes you a little tired and a little stuffed up. Running 12 miles today, going to do it relatively slow and in Jersey City/Liberty State Park. It's really flat so I won't run myself down too much. I have to try and get rid of the cold before my trip to Europe and Asia on Thursday night.
I'll hit 31 miles this week.
Have a good one, Tim

Edward Norton is running NYC marathon
Wonder what time he'll get? He was a competitive rower at Yale so he definitely has some endurance going for him. Plus, he's a pretty small guy. We'll, see what happens.

$729 at Southern Hospitality
Hello all. Raised $729 for MJFF at my guest bartending event at Southern Hospitality tonight. That works out to $243 per hour. That would be nearly $10,000 a week or $520,000 per year. Unfortunately, my friends don't drink 40 hours per week...I think only about 20 hours.
Thanks everyone. I think I'm nearing $13,000 raised.
Bartending is not an easy job...that's all I have to say. Well, just this one observation from being a bartender...When people are out in a bar expecting a drink and it takes more than one second to get them that drink...they look very annoyed. Even though it was for charity, people just look angry waiting for their alcohol!! Calm down people...there's plenty of Miller lite for all!! Not going to run out!
Have a good night.

21 was fun!!
I really feel amazing today even after my 21 miles yesterday. However, I did nearly choked on my protein bar this morning after being kind of dehydrated after my run yesterday. My first beverage of the day was a venti coffee at Starbucks...Big mistake!!!! Thought I would have to perform a personal heimlich maneuver. Luckily, I was able to chug some gatorade and dislodge the damn protein bar from my throat...Seriously, they need to find a way to make protein bars less chalky!!!
Here are a few posters to help you out if you ever need to perform this maneuver. Kind of looks like this kid is choking himself! Step one...remove own hand from own neck. If you can now breathe, stop choking yourself!!
